Everyone that visits Washington DC will want to go visit the nation’s White House and other monuments. This area has a large amount of historical worth and can be enjoyed by any historian as well as children who may even get a chance to get a glimpse of President Barack H. Obama or his family! White House tours are carried out daily and are enjoyed by people from all over the world. Ensure that you get your chance to go there by recruiting a reliable car rental option that can simply be used in DC or to get there!

Car rental companies are making it easier for customers to get low pricing on their vehicles by listing them on specialized sites that offer comparative price searches. These specialized sites are perfect for locating a low rate on a rental vehicle from one of the many trusted and highest rated car rental companies in the industry. By booking your car rentals online you ensure that you have a vehicle available to you at the airport or on the day you wish to drive to DC to visit the White House for your tour!

Make sure that you book your vehicles in advance, especially during holidays! It is important to remember that car rentals are in high demand over holidays and special events. Car rental companies at their physical locations will have limited availability on cars in stock and you may need to use a more expensive car or be subject to price hikes during these periods. By booking your vehicle in advance you not only ensure that you have the vehicle you need, but you are also locking in a lower rate before the price hike. This way when you are in Washington DC with your car rental, you can get your Guided White House Tour!

The Lincoln Memorial: I can tell you from personal experience that there is something extremely powerful about standing in front of a memorial to one of the greatest men who ever lived in the United States. In case you aren’t familiar with the specifics of the Lincoln Memorial, the statue itself is nineteen feet tall, while the murals that are around it are sixty feet high.

Washington National Cathedral: Although people normally think of Europe when they think of beautiful cathedrals, the Washington National Cathedral is actually the sixth largest cathedral in the entire world.

The Newseum: While there are a lot of museums that aren’t normally of interest to children and teenagers, this museum does a great job of bridging the gap and successfully offering interesting things for children, teens and adults as well. My family and I spent three hours in theNewseum , and we were having such a great time that we could have easily spent more if we didn’t have previous reservations made at another destination.

US National Aboretum: It’s hard to put into perspective how large this attraction is, but if you can even come close to picturing what 446 acres of flora and fauna is like, you might be able to get an idea. What I really like about theAboretum is that it is a great place to bring a packed lunch and spend the majority of one of your days in Washington DC.
