I don’t know about you, but the Internet has made my life a whole lot easier. Sure, all of the e-mail I get can become annoying sometimes, but overall, the Internet has solved a lot more problems for me than it has created.
One recent example of the how useful the Internet is to me happened when I needed to rent a car for a three day trip to Washington. Before the Internet, I would have had no choice but to call a bunch of car hire companies myself or pay my travel agent extra to reserve a rental car for me. However, the Internet has made this process a whole lot easier. Now, all I have to do is hop online and head over to a site like Orbitz. Once I’m there, I can type in where I’m going, when I’m going and what kind of vehicle I need (for this particular trip, I needed a SUV). The website works its magic, and literally within seconds, I have a list of the lowest Washington car hire rates at my fingertips, and then I can pick the best deal and also reserve it online!
